Is somebody looking for me? (Search database)

You can use this section to see which "lost friends" are being looked for. You can enter specific names in the name fields, or alternatively use the "Free text search" to find lost friends from a specific country, state or town, or by some other specific identifying factor such as the word "adopted", or a college name or a profession for example. Use EITHER the name fields OR the free text search fields but not both at the same time! Otherwise you may end up not finding what you are looking for. Scroll down the page to see all the available search fields.

SEARCH TIP 1. Enter one name only for each separate search.

SEARCH TIP 2. For best results, just enter one family name in the field "Family name". Only if you get too many results from the first search, add your first name in the "First name" field and try again.

SEARCH TIP 3. Remember that people looking for you may not know how to write your name correctly! So try entering different spellings each time and search again – for example Johnson, Jonson, Johnstone, or Müller, Mueller, Muller etc.

SEARCH TIP 4. If you want to search for a town, state, country or any other word or phrase, use the "Free text search" field. This search may take longer than a search by family name only.

SEARCH TIP 5. Use either the name or the free text search but not both at the same time! Otherwise you may end up not finding what you are looking for.
